The cruise and the crew were absolutely outstanding. You can use me for a recommendation any time. It was really great sailing with the Norwegian crew. They are attentive, friendly, and at all levels of rank, well spoken and communicative. I specially liked the fact that the crew was accessible to questions, and were in view of the public in the evenings and during events. This was a really nice improvement on the separation of the larger ships.
The captain was gregarious and accessible. He sat with our group on two occasions where we discussed the Norwegians of America (I am one), and the Norwegian independence day celebration that we have in Wisconsin every year on Syttende Mai. The chief cook even found the time to make me some lefse, since I had no means to do so this year myself. I thought the food was well prepared and diverse. The buffet style used for most meals was good for the type of trip this was, and allowed excellent choices.
The Phillipino staff was attentive and friendly. I liked the softer service mode (less white coat and glove of the large ships, and more of the delivery when needed approach). The staff could have used about two more servers on some occasions, but it was not a significant issue. The price of wine and drinks was a little high. It is in Norway too. I guess that's why I have relatives that make their own in Norway. In Norway its because of the taxes, I would have thought that Norwegian tax would not be imposed at sea, just as it is not on US ships.
The shore trips were well conducted and monitored. The speakers were well prepared and worked well with the passengers both in sessions and on the shore individually. We will be looking at the Norway cruise in the future. I have my 7 continents, but I need to get my wife a couple more before we start revisiting places. The Norwegian tour I would be most interested in would feature the Aurora spectacle. Once again, a good, well run tour to a great destination. - Richard A. Swingen, U.S.

Thanks for your interest. It was a fabulous trip, the boat crew and the cruise team were all first class. We were blessed by wonderful weather to see a surreal world. If you have any clients who are debating whether to
start from Puerto Montt or Ushuaia, my vote is do the fjords first. The latter are really beautiful but an anti-climax after the surrealism of the Antarctic Peninsula! Cheers and thanks - Alan

We had a fantastic time thank you. Weather brilliant. The organisation was superb. Best we've ever experienced. The leader and crew were excellent. Antarctica is awesome. The Chilean fjords are magnificent. Some of the trips were lacking in interest and seem to be padded out. Most of the lecturers on board were very good but one or two were poor. Several people were up-graded automatically but we appreciated what was done for us. A very special trip. - Best regards to you Joan and Keith, U.K.

We had a wonderful holiday - the weather was great with sunshine and calm seas more often than we expected, the ship was very comfortable and with only about 130 passengers there was plenty of space, always
somewhere to sit and we never had to wait very long to get ashore. All the travel arrangements worked very smoothly. The organisation of the trips ashore and the information from the speakers was all very good too. We also enjoyed our few days in New York although the very cold weather and the transport strike did affect us a bit. - Thank you and kind regards, Rob Williams, UK

I booked the Antarctic cruise with CruiseNorway. I sailed December 23rd. I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed the voyage and was assigned a very nice cabin. If I decide to go to Spitzbergen, I will give you a call.
Thanks for your help. - Regards, Walter Rieth, USA
