Atlas Iguazu Falls

Upon arriving in Buenos Aires, you’ll be met and greeted by an Atlas Ocean Voyages representative for the complimentary transfer to your local hotel. Guests arriving in the morning prior to check-in time may drop off their luggage in the hotel lobby, while guests arriving after 3 PM will be able to check-in and proceed to their room.

12:30 PM – 1:45 PM | Enjoy a 15-minute walk to a nearby restaurant for an included lunch of authentic Argentinian cuisine.

1:45 PM – 3:30 PM | Following your lunch, take a 15-minute walk to the iconic Recoleta Cemetery. Upon arrival, begin your approximately 30-minute exploration of this extraordinary necropolis, the final resting place of Argentina’s elite. Home to over 6,400 crypts, statues, coffins, and sarcophagi — including that of Eva “Evita” Perón — this labyrinthine city of the dead invites you to step back in time and uncover some of the nation’s most compelling history.

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM | From Recoleta Cemetery, it’s an approximately 30-minute walk through the magnificent architecture of Buenos Aires to arrive at El Ateneo Grand Splendid. For about 30 minutes, this stunning bookshop, once a historic theater, invites you to marvel at its ornate details, frescoed ceilings, elegant balconies, luxurious, red curtains and seemingly endless rows of books.

4:30 PM – 5 PM | Enjoy an approximately 30-minute leisurely stroll back to the hotel to rest and refresh for the evening.

6:30 PM – 9:30 PM | The adventure continues with a transfer to an included dinner of Argentinian cuisine complemented with an authentic 2.5-hour tango show, an evening of pure revelry.

9:30 PM | Transfer back to the hotel for the night to rest and reenergize for the next day’s thrilling explorations.

7 AM – 11 AM | Transfer to the Buenos Aires Airport, where your approximately 90-minute flight to Iguazú International Airport departs at 9 AM.

11 AM – 2:30 PM | You will be met and greeted at the Iguazú airport by an Atlas Ocean Voyages representative for your international transfer to the Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls. Immerse yourself in the enchanting scenery of this remarkable setting, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. An area of 275 unique waterfalls and lush islands, the Iguazú cascades are a remarkable gift from the planet for all your senses.

2:30 PM – 4 PM | Enjoy an included lunch at the Porto Canoas Restaurant within Iguazú National Park.

4 PM | After an exciting day exploring one of Earth’s most stunning natural treasures, return to Argentina and the city of Iguazú to check into your hotel, where you’ll also enjoy dinner.

Partake in your included breakfast at the Iguazú hotel before transferring back to the extraordinary falls.

8:30 AM – 12:30 PM | On the Argentinean side of Iguazú National Park, witness the awe-inspiring power of Devil’s Throat, the Park’s largest curtain of water with 14 falls in the shape of a horseshoe. Dropping over 260 feet down into the white foam of rapids indistinguishable from the perpetual mist, these cascades are truly a sight to behold. Explore the falls further during an exciting 20-minute Zodiac safari around the cascades. Coming close to the rushing waters of these magnificent waterfalls, a sense of reverence may overcome you as you listen to the sound of their mighty roar.

12:30 PM – 2:30 PM | Once your trek comes to an end, return to the Iguazú hotel for lunch and to gather your belongings.

2:30 PM – 5 PM | After a transfer back to Iguazú International Airport, relax during an approximately 90-minute flight back to Buenos Aires departing at 3:30 PM. Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be greeted by an Atlas Ocean Voyages representative and transfer to your local hotel.

7 PM | Enjoy an evening of dinner on your own, perhaps exploring this fabulous city independently.

After your included breakfast at the Buenos Aires hotel and checking out, you will enjoy a complimentary transfer to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, where you’ll embark on your Antarctica expedition.
