Atlas Highlights of Buenos Aires

Upon arriving in Buenos Aires, you’ll be met and greeted by an Atlas Ocean Voyages representative for the complimentary transfer to your hotel. Guests arriving in the morning prior to check-in time may drop off their luggage in the hotel lobby, while guests arriving after 3 PM will be able to check-in and proceed to their room. 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM | Enjoy a 15-minute walk to a nearby restaurant for an included lunch. For the next hour, savor authentic Argentinian cuisine. 2 PM – 5 PM | Spend approximately three hours exploring Puerto Madero, a vibrant waterfront district filled with sleek skyscrapers, renovated red-brick warehouses, trendy restaurants, luxury hotels, and high-end residential buildings, with select shopping pauses along the way. One of the main stunning features of the port is Puente de la Mujer, or Bridge of the Woman, a marvelous piece of engineering also considered a work of art. 5 PM – 7 PM | After your walking tour, return to your hotel for an included dinner before settling in for a night of rest. Dinner will be served either at the hotel restaurant or at a nearby restaurant.

9 AM – 9:45 AM | Board a coach for your transfer into the heart of the city, where you’ll begin a walking tour of Buenos Aires’ highlights. Enjoy approximately 30 minutes to explore Plaza de Mayo, the oldest public square in Buenos Aires. Here you will find many historical landmarks, including the Casa Rosada of Evita fame

9:45 AM – 10:30 AM | Hop back on your coach for your transfer to La Boca neighborhood. During approximately 30 minutes, delight in the vibrant colors of the houses, an homage to the workingclass history of the city. Retaining strong influences of its Italian settlers, this area is imbued with a romantic atmosphere reflected in the tango performances you’ll find on almost any street corner.

10:30 AM – 12:15 PM | Sit back and enjoy a scenic transfer to Recoleta Cemetery. Upon arrival, begin your approximately 30- minute exploration of this extraordinary necropolis, the final resting place of Argentina’s elite. Home to over 6,400 crypts, statues, coffins, and sarcophagi — including that of Eva “Evita” Perón — this labyrinthine city of the dead invites you to step back in time and uncover some of the nation’s most compelling history.

12:15 PM – 1:30 PM | After the visit to Recoleta, your coach will convey you to a local restaurant for an included lunch. Savor authentic Argentinian cuisine during your leisurely hour-long meal.

1:30 PM – 2 PM | Transfer back to the hotel to rest and refresh before the rest of your day continues.

2 PM – 6:30 PM | Enjoy free time to explore independently and take in the vibrant culture and lively atmosphere of Buenos Aires.

6:30 PM – 10 PM | A coach transfer will take you to a local tango house for a dazzling evening of this quintessential Buenos Aires experience. Get swept away by the romance and passion of Argentina’s traditional dance with a 3-hour show. As you revel in the performance, enjoy a delicious dinner of authentic Argentinian cuisine.

10 PM | Once the evening winds down, transfer back to the hotel for the night.
