Day 1: Depart the U.S. (or arrange your own flights and receive air credit)
This evening depart from the U.S. on your transatlantic flight to Oslo.

Day 2: Arrive in Oslo
At Oslo Airport, you'll be met by your guide, who'll accompany you on the trip. Transfer to your hotel; the rest of the day is at your leisure. Welcome drink and dinner. [D]

Day 3: Oslo
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Oslo by motorcoach with visits to the Vigeland Park, a sculpture garden, and the Viking Ships Museum. The tour will also drive past the medieval Akershus Fortress and the Royal Palace. Afternoon at leisure. [B]

Day 4: Oslo–Alta–Karasjok
After breakfast, fly to Alta in the Sami region of Finnmark. Drive across the Finnmarksvidda Mountain Plateau to the village of Masi. Then continue to the villages of Kautokeino and Karasjok and visit the Sami Cultural Center, before enjoying a traditional fireside meal in a turf hut known as a "gamme." [B/D]

Day 5: Karasjok–Kirkenes/Embarkation
Drive along the banks of the salmon-rich Tana River. Continue along the dramatic Varangerfjord to Kirkenes, where you'll board your ship. [B/L/D]

Days 6–9: Norwegian Coastal Voyage
On your journey, you'll sail south to Bergen, with stops at the Lofoten Islands and medieval Trondheim, and passage through the Trollfjord. [B/L/D]

Day 10: Disembarkation/Bergen–The Hardangerfjord–Ulvik
Disembark at Bergen, and transfer to a motorcoach. You'll drive along the shores of the Soerfjord before ascending the dramatic Kvamskogen Mountain Plateau, and traversing the impressive Tokagjelet Ravine. See the beautiful villages along the dramatic Hardangerfjord, and pay a visit to Steinstone Farm's orchards before traveling on to picturesque Ulvik, where you'll have dinner and spend the night. Day 11: Ulvik–The Sognefjord–Flam–Bergen
After breakfast at the hotel, depart Ulvik and pass the Skjervet Waterfall to the resort town of Voss. Drive by the shores of Lake Oppheim to Stalheim and descend to Gudvangen. Enjoy a cruise on the Sognefjord; before going on to Flam, where you'll have lunch on your own. Board the train for a thrilling ride on the Flam Railway, one of the world's steepest railway lines. You'll spiral up mountains, passing waterfalls and farms clinging to sheer slopes before arriving at Myrdal. There you'll board the Bergen Railway train for another breathtaking trip back to Voss, where you'll board your motorcoach for the return to Bergen. [B/D]

Day 12: Bergen
After breakfast, you'll take a guided tour of Bergen, visiting the colorful fish and flower markets, the Bryggen Wharf, and museums. Then you'll tour Bergen's environs, and visit Troldhaugen, the home of Edvard Grieg. Afternoon free. Farewell dinner. [B/D]

Day 13: Depart Bergen
After breakfast, transfer to Bergen Airport for your flight home. [B]
