MS OTTO SVERDRUP

MS Otto Sverdrup is designed for exciting, sustainable expedition cruises along the Norwegian coastline. It's named after a great Norwegian polar hero.

MS Maud is designed to take you on an expedition of the Norwegian coast in maximum comfort, equipped for a sustainable and memorable expedition.

MS ROALD AMUNDSEN

MS Roald Amundsen is the first of two hybrid ships Hurtigruten will add to its fleet over the next few years, cutting emissions by sailing with electrical propulsion.

MS FRIDTJOF NANSEN

MS Fridtjof Nansen is the latest addition to Hurtigruten’s fleet of custom-built ships – and represents the next generation of expedition ships. She will explore some of the most spectacular corners of the globe.

MS FRAM

Many boast of their “ultimate” expedition ships. But none, save the MS Fram, contains two critical features which deliver adventure in a more safe and comfortable way.

MS MIDNATSOL

MS Midnatsol took her maiden voyage along the Norwegian coast in April 2003 and has become a favourite.

On board MS Spitsbergen you will meet our ExpeditionTeam. They are not only expert lecturers, they are also your hosts on board and ashore.

MS NORDSTJERNEN

This traditional working ship is rich in character and is another frm favourite for many a Hurtigruten enthusiast.

COASTAL SHIPS

MS FINNMARKEN

The first Hurtigruten ship to bear the MS Finnmarken name was introduced in 1912 and her worthy successor has been designed to reflect the elegance of the past.

MS NORDKAPP

MS Nordkapp is named after the famous North Cape, which is a cape on the island of Magerøya in northern Norway, in the municipality of Nordkapp.

MS TROLLFJORD

A magnificent ship deservedly bearing the name of one of the most dramatic sights on the voyage. The ship is named after the famous Trollfjord, situated between the Vesterålen and the Lofoten Islands.

MS NORDNORGE

The name of this beautiful ship, MS Nordnorge is taken from the most northerly area of Norway. Nord-Norge means the northern part of Norway, mostly situated inside the Arctic Circle.

MS NORDLYS

Nordlys translates into Northern Lights in English, and it is only natural that décor inspired by the Northern Lights should be apparent in a ship of this name.

MS POLARLYS

There are unparalleled views from almost every quarter of this stylish vessel. MS Polarlys was built in 1996, and she is the third ship in Hurtigruten to have this name.

MS RICHARD WITH

MS Richard With is named after the founder of Hurtigruten, Captain Richard With. His establishment of the Norwegian Coastal Express back in 1893 had an enormous impact in life along the Norwegian coast.

MS KONG HARALD

Named after the King of Norway, this majestic ship also pays tribute to other famous Norwegians and includes the Nansen club bar and Amundsen café.

MS VESTERALEN

MS Vesterålen was built in 1983 and is named after the first Hurtigruten ship to sail in 1893, DS Vesterålen. Vesterålen is also the name of the area in which Hurtigruten’s first home port, Stokmarknes, is situated.

MS LOFOTEN

Our old favourite MS Lofoten attracts many passengers to return on board time and time again. MS Lofoten, was launched in Oslo in 1964, and provides a voyage of real nostalgia with an intimate informal atmosphere.
