ITINERARY
DAY 1 FUERTE AMADOR (PANAMA CITY)
Fuerte Amador, the Panama Canal's Pacific terminus, lies at the end of a mile-long manmade causeway, built from the canal's waste materials. Nearby, Frank Gehry's colourful Biomuseo showcases Panama's biodiversity. Miraflores Locks' visitor centre tells the story of this legendary waterway. A short taxi ride away, modern Panama City has evolved around its two historic centres: the conquistador-era Panamá Viejo and 17th-century Casco Viejo.
DAY 2 DAY AT SEA
Sea days are rarely dull. Take the time to sit back and let the world go by. The ship’s observation decks provide stunning views of the passing ocean. A day at sea gives you the opportunity to mingle with other passengers and share your experiences of this incredible trip or head to our library which is stocked full of reference books. Get an expert’s view in one of our on-board lectures or perhaps perfect your photography skills with invaluable advice from our onboard professional photographers.
DAY 3 BAHIA CULEBRA, PLAYA PANAMA
Secluded Bahía Culebra is a protected inlet and marine sanctuary known for crystal-clear turquoise and jade waters encircled by jagged cliffs. Sea turtles, schools of colourful tropical fish, dolphins and whales make it an ideal snorkelling spot. The bay includes diverse ecosystems, from lush rainforests to mangrove stands (Panamá and Iguanita). Pre-Columbian sites, like a cemetery with over 70 burials, add historical intrigue to Bahía Culebra..
SEE OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
DAY 4 AMAPALA
The only town on the volcanic island of Isla del Tigre (Tiger Island), Amapala is a lost-in-time paradise. The island’s first part-time residents were likely pirates, including the legendary Sir Francis Drake, who used the island as a hideout until 1770. Hikes to the top of the dormant El Tigre Volcano offer stunning views of the island and the surrounding Gulf of Fonseca. Today, Amapala is known for its delicious seafood and stunning beaches.

DAY 6 HUATULCO
Home to nine scenic bays and 36 pristine beaches, the laid-back resort town of Huatulco offers eco attractions alongside traditional beach resort activities. As a result, the town's hotels and buildings are spread out, low rise and relatively unobtrusive. The main settlement in the area, Crucecita, is authentically Mexican. Nearby are the pre-Hispanic ruins of Copalita Ecological Park and the enchanting Cascadas Magicas de Copalitilla waterfalls.
